Our Philosophy

Paul S. Finkle, CMC
President and CEO

Paul Finkle Paul holds degrees in both economics and psychology. Over his 25+ year career in management consulting, Paul has served as a senior advisor to thousands of entrepreneurial employers and personally participated as a founder in seven start-up businesses. Paul co-founded a software firm (SharedHR) that developed one of the first web based human resources content, tools and data management systems to support and outsource HR for small to medium-sized employers.

Paul has strong background in labor relations having negotiated in excess of 300 labor contracts on behalf of management. Also, he has been called upon as an expert witness in complex employment litigation. He is currently co-chair of an employee health benefits trust, and has lectured at many universities including a regular guest lecture series at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Paul has served on the small business committee of the U. S. Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves as the Chair of the Advisory Committee of the Institute of Global Health, and serves on the board of the San Rafael Chamber as well as several client companies.

Malcolm Whyte
Executive Vice President

Malcolm Whyte Malcolm has over 21 years of business experience in a broad range of operating and human resources management roles. On the operating side, his experience ranges from the establishment of start-up companies, to a variety of corporate management positions within DuPont. Malcolm co-founded a technology firm that delivered HR applications and services over the web, in which he initiated and oversaw the development of a suite of innovative HR applications. Malcolm's practice provides clients solutions in the areas of interim HR executive management, compensation, organization design, recruiting, and employee development. In his role as an outsourced executive, Malcolm serves as Vice President of HR for a 400-employee workers' compensation organization with offices in San Francisco and San Diego.

Todd Schopp
Director of Technology

Todd Schopp Todd has over 20 years experience as a designer and developer of innovative software, and manager of development teams. In addition to founding his own software development firm, Todd has worked as a senior developer for an e-commerce pioneer in San Francisco that developed web-based HR solutions and other internet technologies. Todd has developed web-based HRMS databases and integrated complex administrative systems for multiple applications. Todd's expertise combines a solid understanding of business and HR issues, with a deep knowledge of software project management, systems integration, database and web development.

Todd's role at WEA Consulting is to design and coordinate the technical integration of HR and management consulting work products into practical applications and tools for clients. He was a founding employee and primary system and database designer for the SharedHR web-based Human Resource Management System (HRMS).

Jenelle Ring
Sr. HR Consultant

Jenelle Ring Jenelle has over 13 years of operational and management experience in a variety of industries. Over the last 9 years, she has applied this experience as a human resource's practioner. Prior to joining WEA, she worked for a company that grew from 65 employees in 4 states to over 400 employees in over 33 states within a one-year timeframe. During this time, Jenelle managed the development and implementation of the company's HR policies and programs, necessary to support such growth. Jenelle has also worked in technical capacities, where she has implemented and administered a variety of database and software applications. Jenelle's industry experience includes the High-tech R&D, Finance, Manufacturing/Wholesale, and Retail. Jenelle provides clients with a broad range of HR advice and support, as well as deployment and advisory services for the firm's web-based HR system.
